Our teen and tween girls have been studying the book God's Girls by Teresa Hampton. As part of our service, we made blessing bags for the homeless.
The Great Give-Away
Each October Lakeside has a huge give away! Members donate items that may be useful to others. The public is invited to attend and take whatever they want. We have met and served many families. The give-away is usually the Saturday after Columbus Day. We only ask those who attend to register. We use those registration cards to help us when we give away food around Thanksgiving.
Festival of Trees
Each November Memorial Hospital has a fundraiser called the Festival of Trees. Nancy Rowe from Lakeside provides our kids with gingerbread and all the decorations to make gingerbread houses. These are donated to the festival of trees, We always have a great showing at the festival.
Ronald McDonald House
We have been blessed to serve as guest chefs for the Ronald McDonald House residents. We volunteer to cook and serve meals there on alternating months. To get involved or for more information, see Cheryl Breezeel.
Child and Family Services.
Our congregation collects donations of food and other supplies to give to Schults- Lewis. Schults-Lewis offers residential treatment and support for teens and their families. For more information on how you can help with this work contact Shults-Lewis Child and Family Services.
Student of the Month
Each month, we highlight one of our college students. We bring in snacks, gift cards and notes of encouragement to send to our kids who are away at school. This program is led by Phil and Cheryl Breezeel.
Around the holidays, we see how much God has blessed us! We have been able to donate food to feed others. Members contributed food to feed several families this past Thanksgiving. Roger Bolin oversees this program.

Socks for Seniors
Each December we collect slipper socks to donate to a nursing or rehabiltation facility. In December 2015 we sang to the residents at Heritage Health and donated socks to their residents. Lennora Burnom is in charge of this work.
